Lahaul And Spiti
Lahaul and Spiti is district of Himachal Pradesh which is named after its two subdivision which are, regardless of their various geological and social similarities, particular and separate regions. Ki-Gompa (Key Gompa): Founded in eleventh century, Ki-Gompa is the largest buddhist monastery situated in Lahaul and Spiti. The perspectives from the highest point of the monastery are astonishing and give some amazing perspectives from a monstrous tallness.
Kunzum Pass: Kunzum Pass or Kunzum la situated at an elevation of 4551 m over the sea level is the pass leading to the Spiti Valley from the area of Lahaul going through the Rohtang Pass. The pass is known for its terrain which gives a stunning perspective of the Himalayas.
Tabo Monastery: Tabo Monastery otherwise called ‘Ajanta of the Himalayas’ is a standout amongst the most visited to and well known monasteries in Spiti. Found in 996 AD, it is one of the oldest Buddhist monasteries in India and in Himachal Pradesh.
Dhankar Gompa: The Dhankar Gompa is situated at an altitude of 3894 m over the sea level and is placed at a stunning area on a 300 meter high hillock. The area gives the most stunning perspectives of the environment and is a popular tourist spot too.
Pin Valley National Park: Situated in the cold desert range of the Spiti valley, Pin Valley National Park is known for being home to the different endangered creatures species like the snow leopard and the Siberian Ibex. Notwithstanding of the scanty vegetation, the park is known as a source for different sorts of therapeutic herbs and different imperiled plant species.
