Bhutan Lhuentse Trek Tour – 15 Nights and 16 Days

Day 1: ARRIVAL PARO

Upon arrival, our delegate meets you and assists you to transfer at your pre-booked hotel. Check into the hotel upon reaching. The rest of the day is free to explore the town on your own.

Later in the day, return back to the hotel and after freshen up, have your luxurious dinner.

Supper and Night remain at the hotel.

Day 2: PARO

After a morning wholesome breakfast, our chauffeur will take you to visit the world-popular Tiger’s Nest Monastery. Also famous as Taktsang Goemba, it is among Bhutan’s most explored holy places. Perched at a height of 3120 meters above sea level, the Tiger’s Nest Monastery offers scenic scenery of surrounding regions. After this alluring day tour, drive back to the hotel.

The evening is free to enjoy the local markets and the nearby regions.

Day 3: PARO – PUNAKHA

On this day, we drive to Punakha after a wholesome breakfast at the hotel. Check-in at the hotel once you reach there. After refreshments, rest for some time before heading on to visit Chimi Lhakhang, Punakha Dzong, and Punakha Suspension Bridge.

The rest of the day is free to stroll around the town.

Dinner and Night stay at the hotel.

Day 4: PUNAKHA – BUMTHANG

After morning breakfast at the hotel, check out and continue further towards Bumthang. Check-in at the hotel upon reaching. After refreshments, head onto a sightseeing tour of Jakar Dzong, Tamshing Lhakhang, Mebar Tsho – The Burning Lake, Kurje Lhakhang, Lhodrak Kharchhu Monastery, and Shankar Lhakhang.

Supper and Night stay at your hotel.

Day 5: BHUMTHANG – LHUENTSE

On this day, after a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel, check out and drive to Lhuntse, the starting point of the Bhutan Lhuntse Trek. Upon reaching, enjoy the day leisurely as the very next day will be a bit tiring.

Dinner and Night halt.

Day 6: LHUENTSE – KHOMA (starting of trek)

After an early nutritious breakfast in the morning, head towards the initial step of the day first trekking. In the beginning, start from a suspension bridge which is located at Bhutanese Lhuentse town. A nine-mile moderate trail in the few next hours will take us to our destination. The way will lead us through beautiful fields of rice and maize and also from numerous tropical plants. On the route, you will come across the Kuri Chuu River and the religious site of Singye Dzong. Upon reaching Khoma which is at 5000 feet, you are free to spend the rest of the time leisurely.

Day 7: KHOMA – CHENGLENG

After morning breakfast in the morning, start the journey towards Chengleng, the next trekking destination. A steep 12-mile ascent of a few hours through the village of Gyonpa Karpo will lead you to Chengleng which is situated in the midst of oak forests, and wild orchids and mushrooms. The destination will be our camping site for the day.

Day 8: CHENGLENG – MINJI

In the morning after a sumptuous breakfast, continue the trek in the direction of the scenic village of Minji. An 11-mile moderate trail through the oak forest-covered gorges and encompassed mountains while in transit to a bunch of houses and rice paddies called Sham. Upon reaching at the destination, set up camp and spend the time at some of your independent activities.

Day 9: MINJI

The day is completely for rest. Enjoy the day at its best by exploring the village and having a leisurely feast with local people. This pleasant town is encompassed by snowy mountain peaks.

Day 10: MINJI – WAMBUR

Today is an easy day of trekking as we go downhill. A 12-mile-long trek of a few hours will lead us to our destination.

Day 11: WAMBUR – DOMKHAR

This morning after some nutritious breakfast, continue further to reach the village of Domkhar. Follow the trail through sparse pine tree forests and lemongrass. A steep descent then leads you to your today’s destination. Here at Domkhar, a three-day lively program organized by a Nyingma scholar in the 16th century.

Dinner and Night stay at the camp.

Day 12: DOMKHAR – MONGAR

Today is the last day of the Bhutan Lhuentse Trek. After a few hours on the trail, we reach today’s destination which is Lhuentse. Here, after spending some leisure time, we drive to Mongar. Relax and enjoy the scenic view around. The alluring view of mountains from here is a feast for the eyes.

Day 13: MONGAR – TRONGSA

After the morning sumptuous breakfast at the hotel, check out and head further to Trongsa. Upon reaching, check into your pre-booked hotel. Later, we drive you to Chendebje Chorten, Trongsa Dzong Fortress, and Kuenga Rabten Palace. Enjoy the scenic view all around and get enchanted by the magnificent view of Mount Jomolhari.

Supper and Overnight halt at the camp.

Day 14: TRONGSA –THIMPHU

On this day, after some wholesome breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Thimphu. Visit Tamchog Lhakhang Iron Bridge enroute.Upon reaching, check into the hotel. Relax a while before proceeding to visit Zilukha Nunnery, Thimphu Dzong, Takin Sanctuary, and Buddha Dordenma Statue.

Dinner and Night remain at the hotel.

Day 15: THIMPHU – PARO

In the morning after some healthy breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Thimphu. Check-in at the hotel once you reach there. After leisurely refreshments, we ride you to Ta Dzong, Rinpung Dzong, Kyichu Lhakhang, Drukgyel Dzong, and Dungtse Lhakhnag.

Supper and Night stay at the hotel.

Day 16: DEPARTURE

Today, after a short farewell meeting, you will be transferred to Paro Airport to commence your flight toward your onward destination.
