Bhutan Trekking Tour – 18 Nights and 19 Days

Day 1: ARRIVAL KOLKATA

Upon landing, our delegate heartily welcomes you and after introducing the driver to you, escort you to the car. Check into your pre-booked hotel upon reaching. After freshening up, we ride you to Victoria Memorial, Park Street, Victoria Art Palace, Howrah Bridge, and Kumartuli.

In the late evening, return back to the hotel and get retired for the day.

Dinner and Night remain at the hotel.

Day 2: KOLKATA

In the morning after a wholesome breakfast, we will take you to visit Kalighat, Maddox Square, Swaminarayan Temple, Science Center, and Aquatica.

Evening time is for relaxation.

Supper and Night stay at the hotel.

Day 3: KOLKATA – GUWAHATI – KAZIRANGA

On this day, you will be transferred to Kolkata Airport to catch a flight to Guwahati Airport. Upon landing, our chauffeur meets you and assists you to transfer at your pre-booked hotel near Kaziranga National Park. After all check-in formalities, guests are free to spend the day leisurely.

Dinner and Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 4: KAZIRANGA

After breakfast in the morning, begin your energizing day trip to Kaziranga National Park. In the early hours of the morning, depart for an Elephant safari followed by a jeep safari through the park. Afterward, proceed towards the eastern part of the park for a boat cruise where you will have the possibility of seeing endangered dolphins. The region is too known for its inconceivable cluster of bird life.

Supper and overnight at lodging.

Day 5: GUWAHATI – SAMDRUP JONKHAR

In the morning after some wholesome breakfast, check out from the hotel and leave for Samdrup Jongkhar town of Bhutan country. Enjoy your sumptuous lunch along the route. Continue the journey towards the border to clear all the customs. Upon reaching, check into the hotel and spend the day leisurely.

Supper and Night halt.

Day 6: SAMDRUP JONKHAR – TRASHIGANG

Early in the morning after a nutritious breakfast, check out and head further to Trashigang. Upon reaching, check into the hotel and relax. After refreshments, we ride you to Trashigang Dzong which is home to the monastic institute for monks and the administrative center for the valley.

Dinner and Night remain at the hotel.

Day 7: TRASHIGANG – RANJUNG (by car) – SAYPHUNG (starting of trek)

 After the morning sumptuous breakfast at the hotel, check-out and depart for Radhi and Kardung Village by road. Upon reaching, start the trek to SayPhung. In the beginning, a steep climb of a few hours through the forest region along the river Murbi Chu will take you at today’s campsite. Set up the camp when you reach there.

Day 8: SAYPHUMG – MERAK

This day after breakfast, begins for Merak. Today, you will reach your destination after crossing the Thumbursa la and Gengou which will take three to four hours. Upon reaching, set up your camps and spend the day leisurely.

Day 09: MERAK -SAKTEN

Today morning after an early healthy breakfast, start for Sakteng.  In the initial part of the day, a steep climb uphill of few two to three hours will take you to Nyuksang La Pass. From the Pass, first, a downhill descent and then a short ascent which will lead you to Chorten. In the later part, a gradual walk of around 30 minutes will take you to Sakteng Valley. Upon reaching, set up your camp and enjoy the beauty of this heavenly region surrounded by densely forested mountains.

Day 10: SAKTEN

The day is for rest! Enjoy the day in exploring the valley which includes 80 beautifully decorated households. Visit several Buddhist temples and local monasteries. Meet the locals and understand their lifestyle. The evening is free to enjoy the cultural program.

Day 11: SAKTEN – JYONKHAR

After a sumptuous breakfast at the camp, start the trek to Jyongkhar. At a point, you will come across Munde La Pass and after crossing the Pass, you will reach your today’s campsite.

Day 12: JYONKHAR – PHONG ME(end of trek) – TRASHINGANG (by road)

After breakfast, we begin the trek to Phong Me. In the beginning, a steep climb uphill of a few hours will take you to Phong Me. Upon reaching Phong Me, catch the transport heading towards Trashigang. Check in at the hotel upon arrival and relax.

Dinner and Night remain at the hotel.

Day 13: TRASHIGANG – TRASHI YANGTSE – MONGAR

After a sumptuous breakfast, drive to Trashi Yangtse and then on to Mongar. Visit the dazzling waterfall at Gom Kora on the route. Continue the drive till you reach Chorten Kora. Constructed in the early 1700s, Cjorten Kora is considered to be the largest Chorten in Bhutan. From here, resume the drive to Trashi Yangtse Valley which is famous for uniquely intricate woodwork. From here, drive to Mongar over the Khorila Pass. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and relax.

Dinner and Night remain at the hotel.

Day 14: MONGAR – BUMTHANG

After the morning sumptuous breakfast, check out and proceed further to Bhumthang. Upon reaching, check into the hotel. After refreshments, we drive you to Tamshing Lhakhang, Jakar Dzong, Jambay Lhakhang, and Kurje Lhakhang.

Supper and Night stay at the hotel.

Day 15: BUMTHANG – WANGDUE

In the morning after a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel, check-out and begin for Wangdue via Gangtey.  On the route, we ride you to Gangtey Gompa. Also, visit the winter home of black-necked cranes ‘The Phobjikha Valley’. Later, resume the journey towards Wangdue. Upon reaching, check into your pre-booked hotel and relax.

Dinner and Night stay at the hotel.

Day 16: WANGDUE – THIMPHU

After the morning sumptuous breakfast, check out from the hotel and leave for Thimphu. Check-in at the hotel upon reaching. After refreshments, we drive you to National Textile Museum, Zorig Chusum, Changangkha Lhakhang, Buddha Point, Junghi Handmade Paper Factory, Drubthob Goema and Phelchey Toenkhyim (Folk Heritage Museum).

The evening is free to explore Thimphu Craft Bazaar.

Supper and Night remain at the hotel.

Day 17: THIMPHU

In the morning after a leisurely breakfast, we ride you to Memorial Chorten, the National Library, Simtokha Dzong, and the National Institute of Traditional Medicine. Later in the day, drive back to the inn and enjoy the day leisurely.

Supper and Night remain at the Inn.

Day 18: THIMPHU – PARO

After morning wholesome breakfast at the hotel, check out and proceed further to Paro. Upon arrival, complete your check-in process and then proceed to have some leisurely refreshments. Relax a while before heading on to visit Rinpung Dzong, Tiger’s Nest Monastery, Ta Dzong, Dungtse Lhakhang, Drukgyel Dzong, and Kyichu Lhakhang.

Day 19: DEPARTURE

On this day, our delegate meets you and assist you to transfer at Paro Airport to catch a flight heading towards your next destination.
