Kaziranga National Park Tour
Kaziranga National Park is a national park in the the state of Assam, India. This UNESCO World Heritage Site includes two-third of the park as the home for world’s great One-horned Rhinoceroses. This national park has the highest number of tigers amoung protected areas. In 2006, Kaziranga declared a Tiger Reserve. This park is home for the large population of elephants, wild water buffalo and swamp dear. This park has been recognised as an important Bird Area for conservation of avifaunal species. Due to its location, this park combines high species diversity and visibility.
Location: Kaziranga National Park is located at a latitude of 26°30 N to 26°45 N and longitude of 93°08 E to 93°36 E. This park is located on the banks of the Brahmaputra River in the state os Assam,India. This riverine habitat includes primarily of tall and dense grasslands in the huge open forest. The park also includes interconnecting streams and numerous small lakes.

This national park is well known for its world’s great One-horned Rhinoceroses, Besides this it acts as a home for other wildlife attractions including large number of Indian Elephants, Tigers, Leopard Cats, Indian Bison, Swamp Deer, Hog Deer, Sloth Bears, Jungle Cats, Pythons, Monitor Lizards, etc.
Along with these mamamals, Kaziranga also places some of the major reptiles. This park is home for:
Snakes- Black krait, bengal cobra, banded krait, common kukri snake, checkered keelback watersnake, common or long-nosed vine snake, copperhead trinket snake, common krait, king cobra, pit vipers, rock python, russel’s viper and reticulated python.
Lizards: Assam greyish-brown gecko, assam olive-brown skink, assam greyish-brown gecko, common bengal monitor, common indian skink, dotted garden skink, indian water monitor, light-olive assam garden lizard, ticticky house gecko and tuckto gecko.
