1. Shillong – Cherrapunjee – Mawlynnong, Meghalaya
The wonderful mountain of this region is a joy to watch. There is coal mine that can be spotted, legal as well as illegal, while you walk to "Cherrapunjee" from "Shillong". "Shillong" in itself, is a really wonderful town, the capital of "Meghalaya". It is possibly the only place in India holiday packages where taxi driver themselves sit on someone’s lap and drive. Here, even the traditional societal role of a woman and man are changed, with women doing most of the business. Scenic aspects, caves en route to "Cherrapunjee", views of "Bangladesh" from both "Cherrapunjee" and "Mawlynnong", Asia’s cleanest village also. These are just some of the things that will make your jaw drop.
2. Horsley Hills, Andhra Pradesh
One of the most scenic spots in this beautiful land, the hills provide a good break from the town and its heat. With lots of time and ways to be with nature, Horsley Hills are a heaven. The way to the hills is panoramic too, with Jacaranda, Mahogany, Gulmohar, Sandalwood, Eucalyptus trees lining the ways. Just when you start to feel life has slowed down too much since you have come here, brace yourself for the lesser known thing about this place of India holiday packages – adventure sports, which includes rappelling, zorbing, rock climbing, trekking etc.
3. Manali, Himachal Pradesh
Now visited by most of us, Manali never lapses to make it to any list about whacking the heat of May or June. Forever charming, this beautiful land never fails to make you go awestruck. Thick forests and cool breeze characterize the hill station. The major attraction includes Hadimba Temple, monasteries, Vashisth, Rohtang Pass, Solang Valley, and Club House.
