Best Places to Visit in Agra
The city of Agra is situated at the river banks of the river Yamuna, is said to be the 19th most populous city of India. The city was even mentioned in the Epic Mahabharata as Agrevana which means ‘the border of the forest’. It is said in stories that the city was found by Raja Badal Singh. Apart from that, Agra was a very important part of the Mughal Empire and it was named Akbarabad. The city was the capital under kings like Akbar, Jahangir and even Shah Jahan. Not just that, the city of Agra is even known as the birthplace of the religion Din-i llahi which is still followed by many. The Fort was once renovated by Shah Jahan and converted into a palace.

Fatehpur Sikri is another place that should not be missed when you go to Agra which was again built by Akbar when he had moved his capital.
