Neemaj Travel Destinations
The history of the Chatrasagar is linked with the issue of water shortage in the late nineteenth century. The building of the Chatrasagar Neemaj was a solution to the water shortage in the kingdom of Marwar, presently Jodhpur. The King of that time Thakur Chatra Sagar planned to build a seasonal dam, a reservoir that could accumulate the rains during the monsoons. The dam was completed in the 1890 and provided water supply to the dry village. This reservoir was named after him as Chatrasagar.
