Udaipur Travel Destinations

Udaipur City is very famous for the royal palaces that were built in the Rajput era. In 1959, Maharana Udai Singh II made Udaipur as the capital of Mewar. As the Mughal became weak, the Sisodia ranas were successful in recapturing a large part of Mewar but not Chittor. Udaipur was still the capital and in the year 1818, Udaipur became one of the princely states of British India. For all these reasons the city of Udaipur was known as the:
Royal House of Mewar.
