Initially, it was the summer house for the prince of the erstwhile Balrampur state. The prince and his associates used it as their summer retreat.
About The Property
Balrampur House was known as Ivy Park Palace till 1932. Later on in 1935 the present Maharaja converted the place to a Heritage hotel. It was remodeled by Monsieur Mortimer in the like of a French Chateaux. The rooms at Balrampur House Resort and Hotel Nainital provides a breathtaking view of the garden and Kumayon hills. All 15 rooms spacious and have wooden floors, decorated with period furniture, age old antiques and paintings to maintain aesthetic ambiance of old world hospitality with modern amenities.
