Rajasthan Textile and Craft Tour

Day 1: Arrival Delhi

Upon landing, our representatives heartily receives you and assists you to transfer at the hotel. After checking into the hotel, relax and take your leisurely refreshments. After refreshing yourself, go for local sightseeing. Visit Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Rajghat, India Gate, President House, and Lotus Temple. Thereafter, you are free to spend your evening at Lodi Gardens.

Day 2: Delhi

In the morning after sumptuous Breakfast, drive to explore old Delhi. Experience the best of old city by cycle-rickshaw ride and catch a whiff of the sweet-smelling flavors from the spice market. This is without a doubt one of the best and most exciting way to experience Delhi. From there on, continue for some shopping from the famously known Khan and the Hauz Khas Market.

Day 3: Delhi

In the morning after wholesome Breakfast at the hotel, head out to visit DCM Shriram Hindon River Mill. Thereafter, drive to visit Indian Institute of Technology to meet the Teachers and students of Textile department. In the evening take a short drive to Pilkhuwa and see bedsheet weaving, bamboo crafting, wooden block carving, block printing, paper mache, wood decorate, and needle work.

Day 4: Drive to Jaipur

After having morningleisurely breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive to Jaipur. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. After refreshments, make a visit to local jewelers to see stones cut and polished and to textile merchants and factory for hand-woven carpets.

Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Jaipur

In the morning after Breakfast at the Hotel, proceed onto a guided tour of the Amber Fort on Elephant’s Back. Thereafter, drive to visit the famous Bridgitte Singh’s workshop. After the visit, go for block printing classes at Kunji Bihari workshop in Bagru. Also visit Two Sister Workshop. If time permits, we feel glad to take you at Kerala Ayurveda Kendra.

Evening is free to enjoy a grand rajasthani feast at Chokhi Dhani. Overnight stay at Hotel in Jaipur.

Day 6: Jaipur

In the morning after wholesome Breakfast, head out for half day workshop on block printing. Later visit to handmade paper factory. Thereafter, take a visit to antique shop (a wholesale one) for old textiles and jewelry.

Post Lunch, go for local sightseeing tour where you will be visiting City Palace, Jantar Mantar, and Birla Temple.

Day 7: Drive to Bundi

In the morning after sumptuous Breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive to Bundi. Check into the hotel upon reaching and take some light snacks served with a cup of tea/coffee. After refreshing yourself, head out to visit this small town of Bundi known for its palaces, baolis (step wells) and water tanks. Go through the narrow streets and explore the local bazaar in its best way.

Day 8: Drive to Kota

In the morning after scrumptious Breakfast at the hotel, check-out and start for Kota. CHeck into the hotel upon reaching and Relax. After a while, take a visit to City Fort Palace, Jagmandir Palace, Rao Madho Singh Museum and Kota Government Museum.

Evening is free to take a stroll around Seven Wonders Park.

Day 9: Kaithoon Village (Kota excursion)

After morning wholesome Breakfast at the hotel, leave for an excursion tour to visit Kaithoon village where you will be able to see the local cottage industries where Kota doria, famous handmade Saree are manufactured.

Later the day, drive back to Kota and spend your day at leisure. Overngiht stay at Hotel in Kota.

Day 10: Drive to Chittorgarh en-route visit Bhilwara

In the morning after wholesome Breakfast, check-out from the hotel and leave for Chittorgarh. On the route, we will drive you to visit the famous textile industry in Bhilwala. After the visit, resume the drive to Chittorgarh and check into the hotel upon reaching. After refreshments, head out to visit Chittorgarh Fort, Vijay Stambh and Meera Temple.

Day 11: Drive to Udaipur

After morning wholesome Breakfast, check-out from the hotel and start for Udaipur. Upon arrival, Check-in at the Hotel and relax. After a while, head out for Udaipur sightseeing. Visit City Palace, Jagdish Temple, Gulab Bagh, Monsoon Palace, Fatehsagar Lake, and Saheliyon ki Bari.

In the evening, go for boat ride at Lake Pichola and enjoy the splendid view of sunrise.

Day 12: Udaipur

After morning wholesome Breakfast at the hotel, visit to master miniature painting artist. Also visit Puppet museum and local handicraft centre known as “SHILPGRAM”. Afterwards, you are free to explore its colourful markets exhibiting batik prints.

Day 13: Drive to Pushkar

In the morning after Breakfast, check-out from the Hotel and leave for Pushkar. Check-in at the hotel upon reaching. After refreshments, head out to visit Brahma Temple, Savitri Temple, and Pushkar Sarovar. Participate in the evening aarti and puja at the bathing ghats.

Day 14: Pushkar

Early in the morning, enjoy magnificent view of sunrise from Savitri point. After Breakfast, take a short trip to surrounding villages to experience village life. Thereafter, go for camel ride and spend your day at your own recreational activities.

Day 15: Drive to Jodhpur

In the morning after Breakfast, check-out and proceed furhter to Jodhpur. Along the way stop at Salawas Durry to look at rug making. Check into the hotel upon reaching and relax. After refreshing yourself, drive to visit Mehrangarh fort, Jaswant Thada (cenotaphs) and Umaid Bhawan Palace.

Day 16: Bishnoi Village (Jodhpur excursion)

In the morning after leisurely Breakfast at the inn, drive to explore the Bishnoi villages to experience the village life. This region is renowned for their high quality carpets, visit a close-by town to see them. Later the day, drive back to Jodhpur and after that visit Sunder Rang, a nearby NGO saving the rich crafted works of Rajasthan and a source of income for the ladies who make them.

Day 17: Jodhpur

In the morning after luscious Breakfast, head out for a guided tour to visit the blue part of the city. In the early evening, take a touring of Thar Desert on camel’s back. Afterwards, you will be taken at Shimbhali Boutique (NGO that sells the handicrafts items made by the graduate students of the sewing school).

If time allows, we will go at Clock Tower Shopping Bazaar. Overnight stay at Hotel in Jodhpur.

Day 18: Drive to Khimsar

After morning leisurely Breakfast, drive to Khimsar. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. Rest for some time and then head out to see the Nagaur fort, Khimsar Fort and Panchla Black Buck Safari.

Dinner and night stay.

Day 19: Drive to Jaisalmer

After an early morning Breakfast at the hotel, check-out and leave for Jaisalmer. On arrival, check into hotel. Rest a while and after that take the joy of the Camel Ride at the Sam sand dunes. Later at night you will be taken for shopping in Jaisalmer. The city of Jaisalmer is well known for its Rajasthani mirror work, carpets, covers, old stonework and antique items. The dye and other fabrics are made at Kadi Bundar, north of the city.

Day 20: Jaisalmer

After morning leisurely Breakfast at the hotel, leave for sightseeing tour of the city visiting the Jaisalmer Fort, Jain temples, Salim Singh haveli and Patwon ki haveli.

Rest of the day is at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 21: Drive to Bikaner

In the morning after Breakfast at hotel, check-out and head further towards Bikaner. Check-in at the hotel upon reaching and Relax. After refreshing yourself, take a visit to Junagarh Fort, Laxmi Niwas Palace, Lalgarh Palace, Deshnok Temple, and Laxmi Nath Temple.

In the evening, you may opt ot visit Camel breeding farm. Overnight stay at Hotel in Bikaner.

Day 22: Drive to Mandawa

After morning Breakfast, check-out from the inn and proceed to Mandawa. Here on reaching, check itno the hotel and Relax. After a while, leave for a guided tour towards Mahan Lal Saraf haveli, Goenka Double Haveli, Murmuria Haveli, Binsidhar Nawetiya Haveli.

Evening is free to stroll around this small village well known for its beatifully painted frescoes, havelis, and cenotops.

Day 23: Drive to Jaipur and Transfer to Airport

Today, you will be transferred at Jaipur Airport to catch flight back to home.
