The best time to visit Ajmer is generally from October to March, when the weather is pleasant and sunny.  Summer (April-June) can be quite hot, while monsoon season (July-September) experiences occasional heavy rains.  Keep in mind that during major festivals like Urs (celebrating the death anniversary of Moinuddin Chisti), Ajmer can be crowded.

Ajmer is well-connected by road to major Rajasthan cities.  Ajmer Sharif Railway Station receives trains from various Indian cities.  The closest airport is Jaipur International Airport (around 130 km away).

Ajmer offers a variety of hotels and guesthouses to suit all budgets and preferences.  From heritage hotels near the Dargah to comfortable budget options, there's something for everyone.

Out of respect for religious customs, modest clothing is recommended when visiting the Ajmer Sharif Dargah.  For men, full-length pants and a shirt with sleeves are preferred.  Women are advised to cover their heads and arms, and wear long skirts or dresses.
