Nanda Devi Wildlife Trek 10 Nights and 11 Days
Day 1: ARRIVAL DELHI
Meeting and assistance upon arrival as our representatives welcome you and escort you to your car. On arrival, check-in at hotel and later you will be taken to visit Heritage Sites of Delhi visiting the famous Humayun’s Tomb, Qutub Minar and its monuments and also The Red Fort. You can also opt to see light and sound show at Red Fort in evening. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 2: DELHI – RISHIKESH
Early morning, after breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Rishikesh. On arrival, check—in at hotel. In the evening you will be taken to visit the nearby temples and the suspension bridge, Laksham jhula. Evening at leisure in your hotel. Dinner and Night stay.
Day 3: RISHIKESH – JOSHIMATH
Early morning, after breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Joshimath. The entire drive today is along the Ganga and Alaknanda River. We stop at Devprayag to visit the confluence at the beginning of the Ganges. On arrival check-in at hotel. Evening visit the hill town. Dinner and Overnight at hotel.
Day 4: JOSHIMATH – BADRINATH – JOSHIMATH
Early morning, after breakfast we will go for obtaining final permission to venture into the NDNP from forest authorities, Joshimath. From there we will go to visit the Badrinath temple. Back to hotel. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 5: JOSHIMATH – TOLMA
Early morning, after breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Suraithota. Tolma is at 30kms distance from Suraithota. From here we will start trekking and reach Tolma village through rich forest Thuner, Kail, Ddevdar and Surai. Overnight at camp in Tolma Village.
Day 6: TOLMA – DHARASSI PASS
Early morning, after breakfast we will trek toward Dharassi Pass. First we will proceed towards Satkula and from there we will go to Dharassi pass. The way from Satukla to Dharassi Pass is very steepy and rocky. Dharassi Pass is a camp side where water is available. The Pass is inside a huge dense forest which covers many types of wild animals and birds. The Pass beauty is everlasting: the view is over the Nanda devi, Donagri, Mrigthuni, Mangraon, Changbang, Kalnka, Hanuman and many other peaks are seen from here. Overnight at camp inside the Pass.
Day 7: DHARASSI PASS – DIBRUGETHA
Dibrugetha has many kind of wild animals like black bear, musk deer, Monal pheasant. There are rich fauna and flaura inside the Dibrugetha huge dense forest. Like the inner sanctuary, the prominent Malthuni- Bethartoli ridge, between Dharassi Pass and Dibrugetha, also divides the outer sanctuary. Both these ridges from magnificent Pass to Kohli and upto Donidhar is a gradual descent and then Donidhar to Debrugetha is a steep descent of 750m till one cross the improvised bridge over the stream. Afternoon return trek to Dharassi Pass. Overnight at Tent.
Day 8: DHARASSI PASS – LATAKHARAK
Early morning, we will trek towards Latakhark. From Dharassi Pass to Bagfyana is descend, the trail passes through a very narrow gorge at Satkula. While ascending and descending we reach to the capside latakharak. The camp/hut at Latakharak is situated at a height of 3689m. Wake up at down to the breath taking views of Mount Bithartoli-Himal, Nanda Ghunti, Ranthi peak, Dronagiri and the last view of Kunwari Pass, Auli, Tapovan and Urgam valley and Lata Village.
Day 9: LATAKHARAK – LATAVILLAGE – JOSHIMATH
Early momning, we will trek down and take a break at Belta, the trail leads through inside the thick forest till Lata village. Enjoy the Lata village temples and their culture. Further trek down towards Lata road and from there we will drive towards Joshimath, visiting Tapovan on the way. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 10: JOSHIMATH – RISHIKESH
Early morning, after breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Rishikesh. On arrival, check—in at hotel. In the evening we will walk down to Triveni Ghat by the Ganges river to witness evening “aarti”. Dinner and Night stay at hotel.
Day 11: DEPARTURE
Early morning, have you breakfast. Check out from the hotel and board your respective flight/train to your destinations.
