Kutch is a district in Gujarat state and is the largest district in India. It is a landscape with brackish marshlands and no vegetation. A large portion of the region is called as Rann of Kutch which is a shallow fenland. The word Kutch is used in Sanskrit which means tortoise and the shape of the district is also like a tortoise. The word literally means something that from time to time becomes wet and dry and truly during the monsoon season the Rann of Kutch is submerged underwater.

Lakhpat – Lakhpat is a town which is situated on the Indo-Pak border. The name of the city is derived from the prosperous trade that daily made an income of one lakh kori, which is the old currency of the Kutch district.
The interesting attractions of lakhpat included the tomb which was constructed using the local firm black stone after the death of the famous saint Gosh Muhammad in 1855 AD. The inner walls of this tomb are embellished with verses using striking calligraphy.
Bhadreshwar Jain Temple – This temple is one of the most ancient temples of the holy place of Bhadrawati. The celestial sculpture of God Prabhu Aadeswarji is 73 inches tall. Not only Jains but people of other religions have faith in this temple.
Narayan Sarovar Temple – This temple is one of the most holy pilgrimage locations of the Hindus. The architecture of this temple is breathtaking. Narayan Sarovar is the most prehistoric place in Kutch.
There are many places of attractions like Koteshwar, Anjar, Kandla Port, Mandavi Port, etc. The Kandla Port is one of the eleven important ports in India. However, the Mandavi port is not in much advanced.

You can not directly reach Kutch via train but is a very convenient way. To go through this suitable way, you will have to take a long route. You can get on the Kutch express train from Mumbai up to Gandhinagar and then reach the region via road.
