Lucknow, more profoundly known as the City of Nawabs, is one of the major tourist destinations in India. It is the capital of Uttar Pradesh which is the biggest state in this country. Being the city with the most magnificent history it has been considered a place with exotic cultures of North India. This city was ruled by many kingdoms viz. Mughals, East India Company, Seopy Community, etc. But still, even if you visit this place you will find the flavor of royal Mughals.

This city has an exquisite culture and it is a place full of poets as well as writers. The language of Lucknow is talked all over India. It is considered to be the most respectful language. The Lucknowies majorly make use of Urdu and Hindi. Another thing that is talked about is the cuisine. Monuments / Historical Places / Sightseeing in Lucknow

Rest all things are still fine but the old architecture of The City of Nawabs is something magical. You have so many beautiful monuments here that you will find a lack of time to visit the popular places.

A late 17th-century monument built by Asaf-Ud-Daula, Bara Imambara, is a masterpiece of today. This is one destination that has lots of tourists to and fro. This is a religious tombstone and you will find lots of people with the Holy Spirit in their mind coming here during the occasions of Muharram and many other occasions related to the Shia Community. It is so beautiful that the guides intentionally leave their tourists in the building so that they can roam around and feel the beauty of the Imambara.

You also have a Chotta Imambara, also known as Husainabad Imambara, built somewhere around the early 18th century by Mohammad Ali Shah. There are many small tombs within this Imambara where Mohammad Ali and the rest of his family members use to dwell. The main tomb has a golden dome which is beautifully festooned during their festival.
The Residency is a British Edifice and was the headquarters during the East India Company kingdom. It is more popularly known as the City center in the Hazratgunj region.

Rumi Darwaza and Sikandar Baug are also visited to a greater extent by the tourist. Both these monuments have their own special history which is very interesting to listen to.
