Agra is the former capital of the Mughal Empire. The current city of Agra was founded in the early 16th century even if we know it exists since a least the 1st century. However, most of the iconic monuments of the city were built during the 17th century the time when Mughals emperors ruled the country.

Agra is well known around the world to be one of the three cities of the Golden Triangle. The city is also known to shelter one of the most famous monuments in the world: the Taj Mahal. But Agra is not only popular for just the Taj Mahal, but also for the majestic Red fort (or Agra Fort), the splendid Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah, the beautiful Khas Mahal, the huge Akbar’s Mausoleum, etc.
