Bera Travel Destinations

Nestled amidst the verdant embrace of Rajasthan's forests lies the charming village of Bera. Untouched by the clamor of big cities, Bera offers a tranquil escape for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. But what truly sets Bera apart is its unique claim to fame – a thriving population of leopards that roam freely in the surrounding Aravalli Hills.

A Paradise for Wildlife Enthusiasts:

Bera is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts, particularly those fascinated by the elusive leopard. Embark on an unforgettable wildlife safari through the thick forests, keeping your eyes peeled for these magnificent spotted predators basking in the sun or stalking their prey. The knowledgeable guides will not only help you spot leopards but also educate you about their behavior and the crucial role they play in the ecosystem.

Beyond the Thrill of the Wild:

While the leopards are undoubtedly the star attraction, Bera offers a plethora of experiences beyond the thrill of the safari. Explore the surrounding Aravalli Hills, teeming with diverse flora and fauna. Hike through hidden trails, breathe in the fresh air, and lose yourself in the serenity of nature.

A Glimpse into Rajasthan's Rich Heritage:

Dotted around Bera are remnants of Rajasthan's rich cultural heritage. Visit ancient temples adorned with intricate carvings and discover stories whispered by the wind through weathered forts. Immerse yourself in the vibrant local culture, interacting with the warm and welcoming people and learning about their way of life.

A Luxurious Escape or a Rustic Adventure:

Bera caters to a range of travel styles. Choose from luxurious resorts offering unparalleled comfort and stunning views of the wilderness. Alternatively, opt for a more rustic experience, staying in charming guesthouses or homestays, savoring authentic Rajasthani cuisine, and experiencing the true essence of village life.

Planning Your Bera Adventure:

The best time to visit Bera is from October to March when the weather is pleasant and ideal for outdoor activities. Bera is easily accessible by road from nearby cities like Jaipur and Jodhpur. Consider renting a car for ultimate flexibility or hire a taxi for a comfortable journey.

Awaits Your Discovery:

Bera beckons you with the promise of an unforgettable adventure. Come, explore the untamed beauty of its forests, witness the majestic leopards in their natural habitat, and discover the hidden gems nestled amidst the rolling Aravalli Hills. Let Bera weave its magic and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Monuments / Historical Places / Sightseeing in Bera

Along this village flows the river Jawai which also has a dam built up on it. This beautiful lake can be said a dwelling of the largest crocodiles which you might have never seen before in your lifetime. These leopards and the crocodiles here are not at all a part of any wildlife sanctuary and thus you will only find tourists here who love bird watching and wildlife and are very much fond of it.

There are also a few good other lakes situated in the vicinity and taking a look at them in the morning gives a very pleasant feel. In the evening you are on a safari apart from the leopards you will also see wild jungle cats, hyenas, wolves, jackals, blue bulls, red foxes, etc.

Our FAQ's

Bera is generally considered safe for travelers. However, as with any destination, exercise common sense and avoid secluded areas at night. It's advisable to inform your accommodation or guide about your travel plans, especially if venturing out on hikes or safaris alone.

Pack comfortable, breathable clothing suitable for the season. During the dry season (Oct-Mar), days can be warm and sunny, so pack light cottons and linens. Long sleeves and pants are recommended for evenings, especially during jeep safaris, as temperatures can drop. If visiting during the monsoon (June-Sept), pack rain gear and quick-drying clothes.

The Indian Rupee (INR) is the official currency used in Bera. ATMs are available in nearby towns like Udaipur or Jodhpur, but carrying some cash is recommended for smaller purchases in villages.

Bera offers a taste of authentic Rajasthani cuisine. Expect vegetarian options like dal (lentils), curries, and roti (flatbread). Meat dishes are also available, often featuring lamb or chicken. Don't miss the opportunity to try local specialties like ker sangri (beans and berries) or pyaaz ki kachori (fried pastry with onions).

Visa requirements for visiting Bera (India) depend on your nationality. Research visa requirements well in advance of your trip.

Hindi is the primary language spoken in Bera. Rajasthani dialects are also prevalent. English might be understood by some in the hospitality industry, but learning a few basic Hindi phrases can enhance your experience.

Bera can be a great destination for families with responsible children. Wildlife safaris can be an enriching experience, and resorts often cater to families with amenities like swimming pools and children's activities. However, remember that wild animals are unpredictable, so close supervision is essential during outdoor adventures.

Information on specific festivals unique to Bera might be limited. However, major Indian festivals like Diwali (Festival of Lights), Holi (Festival of Colors), and Dussehra (victory of good over evil) are likely celebrated with enthusiasm in Bera.

Major Indian mobile phone networks like Airtel, Jio, and Vodafone should work in Bera. However, connectivity might be limited in remote areas. Check with your network provider for specific coverage details in Bera.

Respect the wildlife: Maintain a safe distance from animals during safaris and avoid disturbing their natural habitat.

Minimize your waste: Carry reusable water bottles and minimize single-use plastics. Dispose of waste responsibly in designated bins.

Support local communities: Choose local guides and homestays whenever possible. Shop for souvenirs from local artisans and respect their crafts.
