Jaisalmer is commonly known as ‘the golden city’. This golden place is truly worth visiting. In the past century, it was known as the Jaisalmer state. It was a state on its own. This historic place is located in the middle of the Thar Desert and is also known by some as the heart of the Thar Desert. The best time to visit the place is during the winter that is November to February. Jaisalmer fort :

There are many places of attractions that will surely melt your heart with love. The first and most popular one is the Jaisalmer Fort. This historic fort is considered to be the most beautiful fort in the city. There exist a number of stalls and shops in the fort. This massive fort is the biggest one and is also the landmark of this city. The Manachowk is just located outside the Jaisalmer Fort and is a marketplace from where you can buy local products.

Jain temple :

The artistic and wonderfully carved Jain temple is situated inside the massive fort. It is an example of Rajasthan’s unique artistry. The temple came into existence between the 12th and the 15th century. The havelis were built by rich merchants in the past century and are in very good condition even now. The intricate havelis are the best example of craftsmanship.

Sam Sand Dunes :

The place attracting more and more tourists every year is the Sam Sand Dunes which is very famous for the camel rides and watching the ambient sunset. Some of the major attractions of this heritage city are the camel fair and the folk dance and music.
