Agra Fort

Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is located in Agra and provides a backdrop for the Taj Mahal. The fort is a veritable treasure chest of Mughal architectural style. The various residences within this sprawling fortress are complicated to represent the Mughal period's assimilation of various cultures. Furthermore, the fort becomes a site of conflict during the Indian uprising of 1857, which resulted at the end of the British East India Company's rule in India and the establishment of a century of direct British rule over India.

The majority of the buildings inside the Agra fortress are a blend of different architectural styles, which you'll appreciate. Places to Visit in Jaipur on Your Golden Triangle India Tour:

Amber Fort

Amber Fort, located 11 kilometers from Jaipur, is the second most well-known hill fortress after Nahargarh Fort. The Fort's 'Sheesh Mahal' (Palace of Mirrors) and the design of its garden inside the form of 'Chaar Bagh' are the highlights. It is surrounded by crimson and yellow sandstone and is visited by approximately 5,000 visitors per day. The fort comes alive with the light and sound display in the evening, thanks to an appropriate combination of Hindu-Muslim architecture!

Hawa Mahal

Hawa Mahal, also known as the Palace of Breeze, captures the true essence of Rajputana architecture. This magnificent five-story palace has 953 windows (jharokhas), from which all the women of the Royal families sat the street festival in ancient times because they had to follow the purdah tradition. Furthermore, these windows provided a cool breeze, allowing royals to avoid the hot Rajasthani summers.

Nahargarh Fort

The Nahargarh fort was built in 1734 on the Aravalli Hills. The Nahargarh fort has a fantastic view of the town and is well-known for its breathtaking sunset views! The palace's interiors make for an ideal picnic spot, with interior restaurants serving meals and beer. Another exciting thing to do is visit the Nahargarh Fort. You can either take a rickshaw or walk to the end of Nahargarh Fort Avenue; from there, it's a steep 2 km climb up winding paths! You can also ride on the elephant's back for a bumpy ride! You’ll enjoy your visit this, Nahargarh Fort, as it’s been the area for scenes of many Bollywood movies too.

City Palace

On your visit to City Palace, be amazed by the three architectural styles: Mughal, Rajput, and British. The City Palace has been the residence of the Jaipur Darbar (Jaipur's Royal circle of relatives) since 1732 ad. The only difference between 1732 and 2019 is that Democracy occurred. Many distinct rooms may be visited in recent times, one of my favorites being the blue room on the second floor, the stunning Chhavi Nivas, a beautiful vibrant blue with white detailing. When I returned in the days, this room was mostly used to experience the monsoon rains. On the contrary, there are four lovely gates, each adorned with specific subjects symbolizing four extraordinary seasons and Hindu Gods (Vishnu, Shiva, Ganesh, and Devi).
