Gatte ki Khichdi

‘Gatte’ are prepared very interestingly. First, a dough is made of gram flour and then they are converted to long rounded strips. Then they are boiled and then cut into small pieces. Those small pieces are either eaten after frying or in Khichdi. ‘Khichdi’ is a recipe of rice. Rice is boiled first and then fried using some spices and then Gatte are also added into it. This is a nice combination to have if you want to have something lighter but tastier.

Namkeen

Rajasthani Namkeen is very famous. Bikaneri Bhujia, Aloo Bhujia, Bhel, Different types of Moong Dal, Sev and Gathiya are very famous. The base item is the same for many Namkeen; it is the usage of the spices which differ. There are different types and quality of herbs as well. Like clove, Asafoetida, cardamom, fenugreek seeds, coriander, etc. add an absolute, pungent and delectable taste that one long for it and thus Rajasthani Namkeen are very famous.
